metservice-weather

Get authoritative New Zealand weather from MetService's public JSON endpoints via a zero-dependency Python script (scripts/metservice.py) — up-to-10-day town forecasts, current observations, hourly forecasts with wind gusts, and multi-town comparisons. Use it for any NZ weather question: a town forecast, whether it will rain/be fine/windy/frosty somewhere in NZ, which NZ location is sunniest or driest or best for a trip, current temperature in an NZ town, or any mention of MetService. Prefer it over web search or global models (Open-Meteo, Apple Weather, AccuWeather) for NZ — MetService is NZ's national weather authority and routinely disagrees with global models on rain and wind.
